The Premature Burial

Written by William D. Gordon, loosely based on a story by Edgar Allan Poe
Directed by Douglas Heyes
Starring Boris Karloff, Sidney Blackmer, Particia Medina, and Scott Marlowe
Originally aired on October 2, 1961

A man who suffers from catalepsy becomes obsessed with ensuring that he is never buried alive during a seizure, but his cuckolding young wife has other plans.

This episode features a performance from series host Boris Karloff, who is delectable as the incredulous friend of the cataleptic cuckold. Also turning in an interesting performance is Sidney Blackmer, an actor that genre fans should know from his later portrayal of Satan-worshipping neighbor Roman Castevet in Roman Polanski's Rosemary's Baby (1968).
