A modern-day investigator tries to convince his professional peers that Jack the Ripper is still alive and well and responsible for a series of recent murders.

The director of this episode, Ray Milland, is probably better known to genre fans as the star of the campy sci-fi flicks X: The Man with the X-Ray Eyes (1963) and The Thing with Two Heads (1972), though he has also had starring roles and guest spots in many other movies and TV shows. The episode's script is based on a story by Robert Bloch, well known to horror aficionados as the man who penned the novel on which Alfred Hitchcock's Psycho (1960) is based.
